Forty-fourth Annual Meeting
Dear
Friends and Colleagues,
Greetings
from the Local Arrangements Committee for the 2010 SEMSCH chapter meeting!
Please join
us for the forty-fourth annual meeting of the Southern California and Hawai'i
Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology (February 20-21), cohosted by Scripps College and Pomona College. The Program
Committee and the Local Arrangements Committee have organized a wonderful
weekend of discussion, performance, and good food (RSVP for lunch and dinner to
SBrown@ScrippsCollege.edu). All of the events will be held on the beautiful Scripps
campus (directions and map below).
We are looking forward to hearing excellent papers, and are especially excited
about the keynote lecture/performance, which will be presented by
ethnomusicologist, author, and guitarist Professor Manuel Pe–a
(see URL below).
We look
forward to welcoming you to Claremont!
Best
wishes,
Katherine Hagedorn (Pomona College) and Candida Jaquez
(Scripps College)
